So yesterday this happened. Wondaland Records kicked off their Epehus Tour by joining the #BlackLivesMatter movement and leading a rally in Philadelphia. Wondaland Records is a recording label created by award-winning singer, Janelle Monae, and consist of a collective of artist including Jidenna, Roman GianArthur, Deep Cotton and St. Beauty.
It is only fitting that they become our first GMB Paragon of the Week. A paragon is a model of excellence and Wondaland Records is certainly a perfect example of “getting mo better.” Striving for change and doing what we can with our influence is what GMB is all about. My Baba always said leaders aren’t born they are created, molded and built and this is the stuff leaders are made of. Yesterday rallies were moving and spoke volumes. Nina Simone once asked “How can you be an artist and not reflect the times?” However, so many artists choose not to. The racial climate in this country is so unsettling and for Wondaland Records to join the #BlackLivesMatter movement and speak out is worthy of a salute.
Thank you for being a paragon! We salute you!

Remember we all can make a difference, we all can GET MO BETTER!
Keep, keepin’ on folks!
